# Private individual

> How the app works when you declare short-term rentals as a private individual, without issuing invoices.

# Private individual

If you rent out your properties as a private individual, you have two obligations: the **Short-Term Stay Declaration** for every booking, and paying the **Climate Resilience Fee**. The app covers both.

## What the app does for you

* **Collects your bookings** from the channels you have connected.
* **Submits declarations to AADE** — automatically or with your approval, whichever you choose under Declarations.
* **Calculates the Climate Resilience Fee** per month, in the layout of the AADE form (see [Climate Resilience Fee](/en/guides/climate-fee)).

You do not need to connect an invoicing provider: as a private individual you do not issue documents, so the app goes straight to the declaration.

## Where to find your details

**Settings → Tax details** has an **Individual** tab with your name, tax ID and properties. From there you **Edit** your details and use **Change status** when needed.

## If you register a business

From the **Individual** tab → **Change status**, pick what now applies:

**Sole proprietorship** — you keep the same tax ID. You enter the **registration date at the tax office** and the change applies from that day: bookings that departed before it stay under the private-individual regime. After the change, connect an invoicing provider for automatic document issuing.

**Legal entity** (private company, general partnership, S.A., etc.) — the company has its own tax ID, so a **new fiscal entity** is created with its details. The "Individual" tab remains for your history. Then:

1. Add an invoicing provider for the company.
2. Assign its properties to the new entity.
3. Property registry numbers are issued per tax ID and do not carry over: after registering the properties under the company's tax ID, map them to the new registry numbers under **Settings → AADE Declarations**.

<Tip>
  When creating the new entity, **Tax ID lookup** fills in the company name from the registry. If the tax ID is not found or the service does not respond, type the name manually and carry on.
</Tip>

<Note>
  From three active AMA numbers on your tax ID onwards, registering a business becomes mandatory. The app flags this on your card.
