# Account activation

> The activation steps required before entering the panel.

# Account activation

To get started with Etherly Sync, you complete a few quick activation steps. You don't enter the main panel until they're all done — the app always sends you to the next missing step.

## Activation steps

    After signing up you receive a confirmation email. Click the link to verify your email. (You can request a resend if it doesn't arrive.)

  <Step title="Verify phone">
    Enter your phone number in international format (e.g. `+306900000000`), receive a code by SMS, and enter it to verify.

    If you see "We could not send the verification code", there is a temporary problem delivering the SMS — try again shortly. "Too many attempts" means you requested several codes in a short time; wait a few minutes before retrying.

  <Step title="Capacity & details">
    First you state **in what capacity** you rent out your properties:

    * **I am a private individual** — you declare your short-term rentals to AADE without issuing documents. You fill in your name, tax ID and address.
    * **Registered business or company** — you issue receipts or invoices for your bookings. A **tax ID** lookup fills in your details from the registry.

    The choice determines what the app does for every booking — and it can change later if your status changes (see [Private individual](/en/guides/private-individual)).

  <Step title="Connect your channel manager">
    Choose the channel manager you use — Hosthub, Airbnb, or Hospitable — and connect it so your bookings sync. For Airbnb, no API key is needed — Etherly connects directly to your Airbnb account.

  <Step title="Finish activation">
    Once the steps are done, you're in the panel. Your account starts on the **Free** plan — no card, no expiry date. If you later upgrade to Business or Agency, your first full month is free — once per account.

  The activation steps (email, phone, company details, booking connection) are **the same for everyone**.

## Connecting an invoicing provider

You connect your invoicing provider from the panel whenever it suits you: **Settings → Connections**. Pick the provider you use and complete the connection there.

Until then you already have full access to booking sync, AADE Connect and analytics. Once the provider is connected, document issuance from your bookings becomes available too.

  Until activation is complete, you only see the activation flow — not the main panel. This ensures your account is ready to issue correct invoices from day one.
